Daphne Press has acquired standalone YA contemporary paranormal thriller The Executioners Three by New York Times bestselling author Susan Dennard, author of The Luminaries trilogy. Pitched as Stranger Things meets "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", this 90's-set mystery follows a group of teens trying to solve a series of gruesome murders on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Daphne Tonge has acquired the UK & Commonwealth (ex. Canada) rights from Joanna Volpe at New Leaf Literary. Daphne Press will publish in August 2025.
Tonge says, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to continue to be the home for Susan’s young adult books here in the UK! Susan is an incredible author and has the unique ability to create excitement and community around her work. The Executioners Three is an atmospheric, dark mystery in a spooky forest setting with lots of heart. It will delight fans of The Luminaries series and anyone else looking for that perfect autumnal read.”
Dennard says, “I have been so happy with the team at Daphne Press, and I am over the moon that we get to continue our relationship for a longtime project that’s so close to my heart!”
Volpe adds, “I am thrilled to continue our partnership with Daphne Press in the UK for Susan’s latest book, which is one of her most atmospheric and romantic stories yet.
