The partnership will see Titan distribute Daphne Press’s titles in the UK, Australia and New Zealand and the rest of the world, excluding North America.
Launched in 2021 by Daphne Tonge, Daphne Press is the speciality press arm of the book box subscription and limited editions sales shop Illumicrate, which focuses on bringing science fiction and fantasy adult and YA fiction to the trade market.
Daphne Press will be producing both exclusive and trade editions of its publishing programme, with exclusives being sold through the Illumicrate store. Titan Books will handle the trade hardback and paperback distribution, starting with Daphne Press’s inaugural title, The Luminaries by Susan Dennard, in January 2023.
Sales distribution will be overseen by Titan’s global sales director Paul Gill. He said: “Titan Books couldn’t be happier to be teaming up with Daphne Press. We have worked with Daphne and her excellent team numerous times over the years on some beautiful Illumicrate editions of our publishing, so to be partnering to help bring Daphne Press editions of their publishing to the trade is a very exciting new stage in our publishing relationship.”
